The Opportunity

We're seeking an R&D Team Lead to lead a new team responsible for expanding our very new, exciting AI-based vibe coding product monday vibe. We released this product just a few months ago and it's adoption and future potential is mind-blowing, so we are extending the group. Monday Vibe is an AI-driven vibe-coding tool that allows users to build their custom applications with one prompt on top of enterprise grade monday WorkOS platform. We are turning words into work apps.

In this role, you will combine technical excellence with cutting-edge technologies to build a new product from scratch. This includes partnering with product and design to shape the vision, solve complex product and technical challenges, and deliver a scalable and innovative product in a startup-like environment.

About the Open Platform group

The Open Platform group builds a platform for builders on top of monday.com WorkOS, which allows any person in the world to build scalable, enteprise-ready solutions for businesses with no-code, low-code, and vibe-code platform. With thousands of partners and customers building their own software on top of monday.com our platform empowers organizations to achieve their goals effortlessly.

  • Lead a high-performing team of talented engineers in building startup-like AI driven product

  • Collaborate with product and design to deliver seamless user experiences and unlock new business opportunities.

  • Drive innovation while maintaining robust, production-ready code across our tech stack.

  • Mentor and grow team members, fostering a culture of learning and ownership.

  • Play a key role in defining and executing the group’s technical and strategic vision.

  • Our stack includes Node.js, Ruby on Rails, ReactJS, Kubernetes, AWS, Redis, MySQL, Langchain, Lang Graph and more. Operating in microservices and microfrontends environments, we prioritize quick, iterative development cycles to bring value to our users faster.

  • Experience managing a team and leading projects hands-on from start to finish

  • Experience with GenAI and building production ready agentic applications

  • Centralize the team's activities, including new feature development, automation, testing, bug management, and planning your team's iterations in an Agile environment.

  • Develop features end-to-end, from thinking about the product, working with the UI/UX design team, development, testing, and deployment to post-deployment analysis.

  • Passion for both client-side and server-side development.

  • Ability to scale out teams and groups, nurturing talents, and high-paced hiring.

  • Strong technical and product skills with a passion for delivering slick products and tools with high-impact

  • Impact-driven: Measure everything, make sure every task moves the needle, and utilize your resources to maximize the team's impact on every Q.

  • Able to lead the team from the ground by keeping a strong hands-on routine.

  • Team player, strong communication skills, empathetic, and someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in building new products from scracth in startup environments - advantage
