As a Product Marketing Manager, you will develop foundational product marketing skills while contributing to high-impact storytelling across Microsoft’s commercial AI portfolio. You will support go to market activities and sales enablement, and create content that brings the Commercial Microsoft Frontier Transformation narrative to life. This role supports the development of core product marketing deliverables—short-form video content, product demos, and other sales & partner enablement content—that help internal and external audiences understand the value of Microsoft Cloud & AI product and the path to transforming business outcome. You will build foundational fluency in AI capabilities and learns to express them through compelling, business-oriented storytelling. This role engages broadly across microsoft’s marketing organization to identify how we can work across product to tell stories of ai transformation and technology driving business outcomes and societal impact. Responsibilities:
Customer & Market Insights
- Assist in gathering and synthesizing customer insights, competitive signals, and industry trends relevant to AI adoption scenarios.
- Summarize patterns in customer needs, blockers, and motivations—especially for Business Decision Maker (BDM) and Technical Decision Maker (TDM) audiences.
- Monitor field feedback to help refine messaging, demo content, and readiness materials.
Go to Market (GTM) Planning Support
- Support senior PMMs in preparing campaign and sales enablement materials, readiness briefs, messaging, and foundational Bill of Materials (BoM) content for Frontier Transformation initiatives.
- Assist with alignment activities across, product marketing teams, integrated marketing, and sales teams to ensure deliverables meet milestones and adhere.
Content & Storytelling Developmen t
- Contribute to short-form demo scripts, narrative outlines, pitch slides, and scenario-based storytelling that articulate Microsoft AI’s business value and product truth.
- Maintain and update content repositories to ensure assets stay current and aligned to evolving priorities.
- Help translate complex AI product capabilities into simple, clear, customer-friendly language that demonstrates how AI can positively impact their goals.
Sales Enablement & Readiness
- Help create internal talking points, conversation guides, and demo outlines used by field sellers and specialists.
- Support maintenance of internal enablement documentation ensuring alignment with the Frontier Success Framework and Microsoft AI Transformation narrative.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Participate in team reviews, content walkthroughs, and stakeholder syncs to gather inputs and refine materials.
- Work closely with product marketing and integrated marketing partners to capture product updates, roadmap context, and scenario requirements that inform deliverables.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field OR equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 2+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
- Foundational skills in written communication, research, and synthesizing information.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
- Exposure to product marketing, sales journey, market research, or go-to-market planning through internships or academic projects.
- Interest in enterprise software, AI, cloud computing, and customer storytelling.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to distill complex topics into simplified, audience-appropriate narratives.
Product Marketing IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $68,300 - $137,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $93,200 - $151,200 per year.
