As a Performance Technical Program Manager IIin the team, you will collaborate across the organization to optimize performance of Bing search and other related products.
Your emphasis will be to drive continuous improvements to performance metrics, through a combination of data analysis, feature improvements, and leveraging relationships to achieve shared goals.
This position has high visibility with executives and requires strong communication skills. Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.
Responsibilities:
- You will analyze experience performance using internal tools to isolate problems and opportunities.
- You will work with Software Engineering to drive enhancements to tools that enable engineers across the organization to manage and improve the performance of their services. You’ll also identify risks and propose data-based mitigations.
- You’ll define success criteria as you collaborate with others to implement features for cross-functional projects. You’ll coordinate and ensure alignment across teams.
- With minimal supervision, you will help deliver on roadmap for feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation, and stay updated with governance programs.
- Report progress against goals across the organization and represent the team to organizational leadership.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in online services performance analysis
- 4+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
- Demonstrated ability to think about customer and business problems and work through ambiguity and team boundaries to achieve results.
- Excellent written and verbal communications and Strong analytical skills.

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
