Overview

The Group Squad Leader is a critical leadership role within DSCGP, responsible for managing the success and performance of two or more squads, each led by a Squad Leader. Acting as the connective leadership layer, this role ensures strategic alignment across squads, drives overall performance, and removes cross-squad obstacles to achieve key outcomes. Group Squad Leaders play a pivotal role in landing the new Squad Model designed to accelerate delivery of end-to-end business and customer outcomes with agility, ownership, and impact.

Responsibilities

 Champion Transformational Change: Lead adoption of the Squad operating model to enable agility, accountability, and measurable impact.

 - Set Bold Strategic Direction: Anticipate market trends, leverage customer insights, and define visionary paths that inspire squads toward ambitious goals.

 - Drive Product Adoption & Satisfaction: Own usage and customer delight, ensuring products deliver transformative value and foster loyalty.

 - Forge Strategic Customer Relationships: Act as a trusted advisor and executive champion, co-creating strategies that drive mutual growth.

  • Unite Stakeholders: Align internal and external partners—engineering, CXE, UX, CELA, Trust teams—around shared success and act as escalation point when needed.

 - Inspire Clarity & Purpose: Communicate a unified product vision that motivates and aligns squads toward extraordinary outcomes.

  • Champion Collaboration: Foster seamless partnerships across Group Squad Leaders, PMs, Engineering Architects, and domain experts to harmonize efforts.

 - Optimize Resource Strategy: Allocate resources strategically to maximize squad impact and adapt to evolving priorities.

  • Build & Empower Teams: Attract and develop top talent, foster inclusion, and leverage insights to elevate squad performance.

  • Manage Rhythm of Business (RoB): Ensure squads complete 1CS reviews, GRC, weekly updates, roadmap reviews, security compliance, and cost management.

Qualifications

 Proven experience in leading multiple teams or squads in a complex, matrixed environment.

  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into actionable outcomes.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

  • Deep understanding of product lifecycle, customer engagement, and operational excellence.

  • Ability to drive change and foster a culture of agility and accountability.
