Microsoft Purview – AI Classification Squad is looking for a Software Engineer II to help build and scale AI‑driven classification systems that identify and protect sensitive data across Microsoft 365 workloads. The team focuses on improving signal quality, performance, and reliability of classification at scale, enabling strong data protection and governance outcomes. As part of the squad, you will contribute to high‑impact engineering work across distributed services, drive improvements in efficiency and reliability, and help evolve our AI‑native classification platform.

• Responsibilities- Contribute to business-critical initiatives as part of AI Classification Squad.

• Requiring deep technical skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new areas.

• Analyze complex system behavior and apply modern engineering practices to streamline deployments and reduce costs.

• Your role involves working on high-end technologies and collaborating across disciplines to deliver impactful features.

• You will also collaborate with multiple teams across Microsoft to deliver key customer solutions and support technology.

• Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field

• 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C# OR equivalent experience

• Excellent coding skills, strong understanding in OOPS, design patterns and their application.

• Self-learner with passion for technologies.

• Must know Secure by Design principles
