- Responsibilities- Influence the Microsoft Entra Identity Governance strategy through partnership with Product Management, Engineering, Business Planning and cross‑portfolio PMM teams, ensuring the product roadmap reflects customer and market needs
- Own market, customer, and competitive insights across identity governance, translating trends into actionable strategy and differentiated positioning.
- Initiate and co‑lead research efforts to identify emerging governance challenges and use those insights to inform product vision, packaging, and go‑to‑market strategy.
- Engage directly with customers, partners, analysts, and field stakeholders to validate real‑world governance scenarios, identify unmet needs, and bring clarity to the highest‑impact investment areas.
- Define and articulate the value proposition for the Microsoft Entra Identity Governance portfolio, grounding messaging in risk outcomes, operational efficiency, and Zero Trust alignment.
- Drive launch readiness and market execution for new governance capabilities by developing compelling messaging, building sales and partner enablement, and orchestrating execution across marketing, engineering, field, and partner teams.
- Ensure accountability and alignment between product reality, customer expectations, and external narratives, continuously raising the bar on clarity, accuracy, and trust in how Microsoft shows up in market.
- Collaborate closely with teams across Microsoft to create unified governance narratives that connect identity, access, data, and AI safety.
- Serve as a trusted thought partner to product and business leaders, operating independently in ambiguous and fast-moving environments, making sound strategic recommendations even with incomplete information.
- Elevate strategic rigor and clarity across the product marketing team by bringing frameworks, crisp thinking, and a clear customer‑outcome orientation.

Qualifications:
Required/minimum qualifications
- Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 2+ years experience in business

Additional or preferred qualifications

Experience in identity and access management, identity governance, or other security categories.

Storytelling skills, and the ability to translate complex, technical ideas into customer stories that clearly articulate business strategy, benefits and differentiation.

5+ years' experience in technology product management, product marketing, or transferrable experience in developing product vision and strategy, value propositions, marketing content and Go To Market, (GTM).
Product Marketing IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
