Do you love games? The First Party Games Marketing Team is seeking a new team member to lead Xbox Game Studios (XGS) marketing efforts with internal Xbox and Windows teams as well as partners like Valve, Sony, and Nintendo to publish and promote our titles on their respective platforms. Our teams focus on delivering great games for everyone, wherever they play – on console, personal computer (PC), cloud, or mobile devices. We’re responsible for developing and publishing some of the biggest franchises in history: Age of Empires, Forza, Gears of War, Halo, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and many more. Our mission is simple – bring the joy and community of gaming to everyone on the planet.
As the XGS digital stores marketing lead, you will partner closely with franchise marketing leads, business planning, studios leads and digital store sales teams to ensure our games show up as best in class within digital storefronts. A key emphasis for this role is to maximize revenue and merchandise across tentpole and bespoke sales opportunities.

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Liaise with Xbox and Windows Store teams as well as partners such as Valve, Play Station/Nintendo (via the 3P Digital Store Sales team) as the digital stores marketing lead for Xbox Game Studios (XGS).
- Work closely with Games Product Marketing Managers (PMs) and Integrated Marketing Campaign Managers (IMCs) to optimize go-to-market strategies for new game and DLC launches, events, and promotions to maximize marketing opportunities.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to digital store marketing best practices; maintain digital stores marketing playbook.
- Define and manage visual identity for global marketing materials on digital storefronts.
- Evaluate, evangelize, and execute new growth initiatives as well as leverage technologies created and offered by first party platform partners.
- Partner with PMs, Business Planners, Studio stakeholders and digital store leads to plan strategic promotions across the XGS portfolio.
- Regularly collect and present relevant campaign results with product data to both internal stakeholders and to platform partners to drive execution of joint strategic initiatives.
- Manage and strategically curate the ‘Xbox Game Studios’ publisher profile Steam page.
- Manage proof of execution for promotional placements.
Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 5+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience.
- Previous experience working in Steamworks as a Release Manager or Marketer or Play Station Marketer is required.
- Proven ability to lead and partner with across studio and creative teams.
- Have effective collaboration and project management skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Excellent creative and strategic thinking.
Business Planning IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
