Overview

Are you passionate about building cool devices and technologies? The Surface team is lighting up Microsoft experiences with the next generation of devices. A fundamental part of our strategy is transforming innovative ideas and technologies into platforms and products that enable Microsoft to deliver the most productive devices on the planet. Creating these devices involves a close partnership between hardware and software engineers, designers, and manufacturing. We are currently building the next generation and Surface needs you!

Microsoft Surface camera team is looking for a camera system engineer/architect with excellent leadership skills to join our team. As Senior Camera System Architect you will own delivery of imaging systems at a product level and contribute to our technology roadmap for the future. You will work closely with internal and external camera partners to deliver hardware and software designs to enhance the camera experience for Surface products.

The camera system engineer is a member of the camera subsystem team delivering end-to-end camera pipelines that include image capture, image processing, and image signal processing (ISP) pipeline tuning. You will work on a broader multi-function product development team where you will define the customer’s camera experiences, work with internal and external partners for their development, and deliver them on future Surface products. The ideal camera system engineering candidate is an electrical engineer with formal training in image processing and with knowledge of competitive camera features, Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS) image sensors, lenses, camera software stack, and imaging AI.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
