Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. Within Azure Data, the databases team builds and maintains Microsoft's operational Database systems. We store and manage data in a structured way to enable multitude of applications across various industries. We are on a journey to enable developer friendly, mission-critical, AI enabled operational Databases across relational, non-relational and OSS offerings.

The Azure Database for PostgreSQL team is hiring a Senior Product Manager to partner with engineering teams in Serbia and around the world to build innovative features and solutions for the Azure Database for PostgreSQL managed service. You will engage with customers to understand their business scenarios and convert them into compelling and competitive user experiences, leveraging telemetry and other signals to make data-driven decisions.

Ideal candidates for this role will have extensive technical experience in cloud database systems, enjoy working with and communicating about technology, delivering demos and presentations, and proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

• Responsibilities- Define and build innovative product features based on understanding customer needs, market and user research, competitive landscape, and Microsoft’s business goals and strategy.
• Collaborate directly with engineering teams, partner organizations and other teams on complex projects and initiatives to deliver customer value. Ensure alignment between customers, internal stakeholders, and Microsoft goals and strategy.
• Develop technical outbound facing content such as blogs, videos, white papers, demo applications, and technical conference sessions.
• Evangelize Microsoft Postgres capabilities through internal and external channels to grow mindshare of the platform.
• Capture customer, partner, and community feedback to influence Azure Database for PostgreSQL product development.

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree AND solid experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
• Some experience in taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).

Job Requirements: Other & Additional

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

• This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree AND extensive experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
• Solid experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
• Solid experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
• Hands-on technical experience in cloud database systems
• Experience working with customers at both technical and exec levels.
• Experience communicating and evangelizing technical solutions
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
