Overview
The Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) empowers customers to maximize the value of their Microsoft business applications ecosystem by delivering high quality architectures, accelerating adoption, and driving operational excellence across **Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O)**and Dynamics AX. Acting as the customer’s advocate, the CSA translates business needs into scalable, industry aligned solutions while ensuring secure, resilient, and well governed ERP implementations.
In this role, the CSA collaborates closely with engineering, sales, partners, and customer teams to remove technical blockers, enhance solution performance, and expand utilization of D365 F&O and related Azure services. With deep expertise in Microsoft ERP platforms, strong business acumen, and a clear understanding of organizational change, the CSA guides organizations through successful digital transformation—leveraging best practices, governance frameworks, and robust solution design to achieve long term adoption and measurable value.
Responsibilities:
Customer Advocacy & Experience
- Represent the customer voice, capture goals/challenges, and drive satisfaction and value realization.
- Accelerate long term‑ adoption of Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Microsoft Cloud solutions.
Architecture Design & Technical Delivery
- Design secure, resilient, cost optimized‑ architectures using Microsoft Cloud and Power Platform.
- Troubleshoot issues, validate solutions, and deliver prototypes/POCs through operational deployment.
Governance, Operational Excellence & Risk Management
- Establish governance frameworks and best practices for compliant, high quality‑ solution delivery.
- Remove blockers, manage risks, and ensure alignment with Microsoft methodologies and standards.
Opportunity Identification & Value Acceleration
- Identify growth opportunities to increase usage, consumption, and business value.
- Connect Microsoft platform capabilities to customer outcomes and ROI.
Cross Functional‑ Collaboration & Partner Enablement
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, partners, and customer teams to unblock solutions.
- Deliver technical enablement, strengthen partner capabilities, and support successful implementations.
Technical Leadership, Readiness & Community Contribution
- Demonstrate depth across security, resilience, AI, and Power Platform.
- Mentor peers, contribute reusable IP, and share best practices within field and community.
Market, Industry & Competitive Insight
- Integrate industry trends and customer feedback into solution strategies.
- Identify patterns to inform scalable architectures and influence product improvements.
Qualifications:
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 2+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands on‑ experience applying D365 F&O development best practices.
- 2+ years of deep knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations architecture, including extension models and integration patterns.
- 2+ years of proficiency diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks in D365 F&O and AX 2012, including SQL tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
- Advanced proficiency in English, demonstrating the ability to communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 5+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 3+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
- 2+ years experience working on technical projects.
- Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
- Proficiency in using tools for performance monitoring and optimization, such as the Dyne Perf, Trace Parcer
- Experience with Data Management Framework for managing large volumes of data and optimizing data migration processes
- Knowledge of performance monitoring and optimization tools for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, such as SQL Query Store, Microsoft Lifecycle Services (LCS) Environment Monitoring, Performance SDK, and third-party tools like Dynatrace or App Dynamics
- Experience designing developing and troubleshooting integrations for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
