As a Software Engineer in the Cloud & AI team you will:    

• Work with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to deliver compelling new features.  

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and support large scale distributed software services and solutions.    

• Troubleshoot and optimize test automation, reliability, performance, and monitoring for production services.   

• Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through design reviews.    

• Conduct technical reviews to assure Microsoft's quality, security and compliance standards are met. 

• Participate in on-call rotations and postmortem reviews to improve service resilience. 

• Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that components are well-defined, modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable.   

• Promote automation in production and deployment processes. 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering or related field, or equivalent industry experience.  

• Experience with one or more modern programming languages, including but not limited to: Java, Python, Rust, C/C++, C#.  

• Experience in one or more of the following is a positive: 

• • Large-scale distributed systems 

• • Systems administration and system-level programming 

• • Virtualization and hypervisor engineering 

• • OS engineering 

• • Network engineering 

• • HPC systems 

• • AI engineering
