Overview
Microsoft is transforming how we connect with Business Decision Makers (BDMs) across industries and business functions. Content—and the creative systems behind it—is central to how we shape perception, inspire intent, and deliver our AI and commercial cloud story with clarity and impact.
We are seeking a Senior Integrated Marketing Content Lead who combines hands-on creative craft, channel-first thinking, editorial and campaign planning excellence, and content governance expertise. This hybrid creative–strategic role will define, develop, and operationalize integrated narratives and content systems that scale across channels, industries, and marketing moments.
You’ll partner with UX, design, Product Marketing Managers (PMMs), integrated marketers, channel owners, and agencies to ensure every asset we bring to market is strategically grounded, editorially excellent, creatively coherent, and built for performance.
Responsibilities:
1.
Hands-on Creative & Multi-Format Content Development:
- Develop high-quality creative content, including copywriting, narrative frameworks, messaging, and rapid prototypes across formats (long-form, short-form, UI copy, social, thought leadership, video scripts).
- Use Adobe Express, Copilot, and similar tools to produce, version, and adapt assets efficiently.
- Translate complex concepts into simple, compelling content that resonates with BDM audiences across industries.
- Partner with design and UX teams to ensure content supports intuitive and cohesive customer experiences.
2.
Channel-First Content Strategy & Ecosystem Planning:
- Build content strategies that start with channel intent, audience behavior, and journey placement (web, blog, email, paid, social, events).
- Create channel-ready content packages optimized for reach, engagement, and high-quality signal generation.
- Collaborate with channel owners to adapt and optimize content for platform-specific guidelines and performance.
3. Campaign Creative + Editorial Planning
- Lead editorial planning for integrated campaigns: message architecture, story arcs, cross-channel sequencing, and content calendars.
- Ensure messages land coherently across plays, industries, and activation moments.
- Partner with PMMs and integrated marketers to convert solution play priorities into compelling editorial and creative expressions.
4. Content Governance, Standards & Scalable Systems
- Establish and maintain content governance standards (voice, tone, terminology, narrative rules, quality benchmarks).
- Build scalable systems for content adoption, reuse, atomization, and cross-channel consistency.
- Conduct content audits, identify gaps, and develop prioritized content roadmaps aligned to business and audience needs.
- Ensure creative cohesion across the full ecosystem of integrated marketing assets.
5. Insights-Driven Optimization & Cross-Functional Influence
- Use MEI data, performance metrics, audience insights, and experimentation to refine content strategies and creative direction.
- Influence without authority across integrated marketing, product marketing, design, UX, and agency partners.
- Drive clarity and alignment across teams by grounding decisions in user needs, business priorities, and content system logic.
Qualifications:
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on creative production experience; agency or agency-style creative background preferred.
- Experience collaborating with UX, design, and product teams.
- Experience using Adobe Express, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, or similar tools.
- Experience conducting content audits and building prioritized content roadmaps.
- Experience producing or adapting content across formats (e.g., UI/UX copy, long-form, video scripts, guides, editorial pieces).
- Experience developing editorial calendars and campaign rollout plans.
- Familiarity with content governance systems, modular/atomized content, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Experience shaping narratives for Business Decision Maker (BDM) audiences across industries.
- Experience working with Product Marketing Managers (PMMs) and channel owners to align content to business and campaign goals.
