We are the Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD) organization, dedicated to keeping over 1.8 billion Windows devices secure and productive by delivering timely updates and innovations to all versions of Windows. Our work helps to protect users and their mission critical infrastructure in a fast-changing security landscape. We create and support new business opportunities across Microsoft, especially with the large and growing Windows installation base. We build delightful experiences for our customers and build products and solutions to empower our commercial and enterprise customers to keep their devices secure, compliant and up to date with latest innovations in the Windows.

We are looking for a highly motivated Principal Group Product Manager to join our mission. This role represents an opportunity to both operate at a massive at-scale service to protect billions while also building and supporting new businesses and growth across the company. This role requires addressing complex technical and business challenges both on Windows and in building mission-critical services and infrastructure that power the delivery of updates and innovations at scale to billions of devices worldwide every month. This reliable cadence of updates that keep devices both protected and productive is a key component of the multi-billion-dollar Windows business, and critical to growing customer trust.

This role requires strong partnerships across product engineering, global security, customer support, and internal Microsoft stakeholders. As an AI-First leader, you incorporate and coach your team on the responsible and effective application of AI-assisted methodologies throughout engineering execution and product management. • Responsibilities- You will be a leader of a truly global organization of high-performing Product and Program Managers and engineers, fostering a diverse and inclusive, results-driven team culture of engagement, growth, empowerment, and excitement.
• You will develop and execute the strategy and plan for continued improvement in how we deliver ongoing protections and innovations to the billion+ in-market Windows devices, gaining efficiency and building trust.
• You will develop and execute the strategy and plan for how we leverage our at-scale update service and technology to create and grow businesses across Microsoft.
• You will collaborate cross-functionally with senior executives at Microsoft, other leaders from product engineering, security services, and other business units to ensure a shared sense of success.
• You will attract, develop, and grow talent through empathy, coaching, and clear accountability, and you operate comfortably in a fast-paced environment—making timely decisions and defining measurable outcomes that drive continuous improvement.
• You will facilitate the integration of AI-enabled tools, automation, and data-driven insights to enhance product strategy, customer understanding, prioritization, decision-making, engineering efficiency, incident response, quality and customer outcomes, all while maintaining security, privacy, and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development.OR equivalent experience.
• 1+ year(s) people management experience.
• 8+ recent years of Program Management leadership experience, including a proven record of solid partnership with engineering teams, cross-division business leaders, and leveraging productive relationships to develop and increase efficiencies while improving partner customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
• 8+ recent years of experience in building, leading, and supporting high-performing and globally distributed teams.
• Global business scorecard results in ownership, including supporting OKRs, KPI’s and business focused metrics.
• 5+ years of experience in leading and operating at scale business critical global services.
