Overview
Microsoft’s Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that designs, delivers and powers our Cloud/AI services. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft, from Azure to AI. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of hundreds of data centers, managed by a team of subject matter experts working to support services for more than 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses in over 90 countries worldwide.
The Technology and Region Expantion team is at the forefront of designing and driving regional launch, expansion, and evolution. Our global team works with a broad range of disciplines to craft and implement design standards and the newest technologies. As a Technical Program Manager (Region Designer) in the EMEA Region Design function, you will be responsible for creating long term designs for the launch of new Cloud Regions, expansion of our existing regions, and implementation of new technologies and requirements into the regions. To create optimal designs, you will partner with multiple engineering groups (both physical and software), Lease, Land, Energy, and Network teams to ensure we meet our customer requirements, design principles, and financial / demand targets. Once the design is completed, you will be responsible for getting alignment and approval of the Region Design across multiple disciplines both inside and outside of CO+I. Once a plan is in execution, you will proactively monitor the region for risk to the design and engage cross-functional teams for resolution.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
