Overview
The Solution Area Specialist for Korea Gaming will play a pivotal role in accelerating AI‑ and cloud‑driven transformation for Microsoft’s top gaming customers. In this role, you will engage directly with C‑level stakeholders, shape their AI vision, and uncover new business opportunities in one of the fastest‑growing and most innovative industries.
You will partner closely with Microsoft’s Account Team Unit (ATU), Global Partner Solutions (GPS), and broader specialist teams to design high‑impact solution strategies that drive customer value, strengthen Microsoft’s competitive position, and influence the future of Korea’s gaming ecosystem.
This role is ideal for high‑performing technology sellers who are passionate about AI, Cloud, and next‑generation gaming workloads —and who thrive on leading strategic conversations and delivering measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Strategic Influence
- Lead strategic discussions with customer executives and decision-makers to identify, qualify, and prioritize AI and cloud transformation opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding customers on digital transformation, security principles, and adoption of Microsoft technologies.
- Collaborate with ATU, GPS, and engineering teams to orchestrate complex deals, ensure smooth handoffs, and drive co‑selling motions.
- Translate customer feedback into actionable recovery plans and influence internal teams to improve customer outcomes.
Pipeline & Sales Execution
- Assess and qualify opportunities using AI‑enhanced sales methodologies and best practices.
- Leverage AI-driven analytics, market intelligence, and whitespace analysis to identify new opportunities and shape account strategies.
- Maintain strong pipeline hygiene, monitor usage and adoption trends, and identify interventions to drive consumption and renewal growth.
- Conduct forecasting reviews with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and deliver against sales targets.
Market Intelligence & Solution Strategy
- Analyze gaming market trends, competitive landscape, and customer sentiment using AI-powered market intelligence tools.
- Align solution area plays with business priorities and forecast future market needs using predictive analytics.
- Support the development of AI + Cloud transformation scenarios for customers, integrating cutting‑edge technologies into real‑world business outcomes.
- Strengthen Microsoft’s position in the Korea Gaming sector through thought leadership and differentiated value articulation.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 6+ years of technology sales, solution sales, or enterprise account management experience.
- Proven ability to engage executive stakeholders, deliver compelling value propositions, and drive complex deal cycles.
- Strong understanding of cloud, AI, and security technologies and their application to business transformation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MBA or IT‑related field).
- 8+ years of enterprise technology sales experience, ideally in gaming, tech, cloud, or SaaS environments.
- Experience leading digital transformation or AI/cloud modernization initiatives.
- Deep understanding of gaming workloads, usage/consumption models, and data‑driven decision-making patterns.
- Familiarity with partner ecosystems and ability to drive joint go‑to‑market strategies.
- Strong understanding of compliance and security requirements in enterprise environments.
