Overview

We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting Developer to build data and reporting solutions for the people who are building the cloud.

Microsoft Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. Within CO+I the Global Insights and Execution team provides reporting, analytics, and process improvement to the planning and acquisition functions that will enable the cloud of tomorrow.

  • Responsibilities- Build and maintain Power BI reports giving stakeholders data and insights to monitor operations, analyze performance, and communicate progress against objectives.
  • Work closely with program managers, users and stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and drive good design.
  • Collaborate with access control to ensure compliance and data security.
  • Collaborate with CO+I Engineering to ensure report stability across deployments.
  • Drive continuous improvement through good documentation, adherence to agile methodology, and commitment to measuring success.
  • Embrace AI both to improve your productivity as a developer and enable new self-service capabilities for users.

Qualifications:

Required/minimum qualifications

Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 2+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in DAX and Power Query development.
  • Experience building Power BI semantic models.
  • Experience modelling data from sources such as Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, SAP, or other ERP systems.
  • Experience working in or analyzing data related to Cloud Networking or Telecommunications industry.

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Data Analytics IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
