Microsoft Advertising is a rapidly growing business powering global advertisers across search, audience, and emerging AI-driven channels. The Measurement team builds foundational measurement solutions that enable advertisers to understand performance, optimize outcomes, and trust Microsoft Advertising as a results-driven platform. Measurement spans conversion tracking, attribution, cross-channel reporting, viewability, experimentation, and third-party measurement integrations.
We are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead execution across Advertising Measurement initiatives. This role focuses on delivering reliable, privacy-aware, and scalable measurement primitives that directly impact advertiser decision-making. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Software Engineers to translate product requirements into shipped outcomes across complex, data-intensive systems.

Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.
- Responsibilities- Drive execution for Measurement programs: Translate PRDs into actionable execution plans across conversion tracking, attribution, cross-channel measurement, viewability, and third-party measurement integrations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams: Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Privacy stakeholders to ensure alignment, unblock issues, and deliver on commitments.
- Lead program execution and delivery: Run core program routines including planning, dependency management, risk tracking, status reviews, and executive communications.
- Shepherd releases end-to-end: Oversee development, quality validation, launch readiness, and post-launch monitoring for measurement features and platforms.
- Define and drive success metrics: Partner with Product and Engineering to identify meaningful success metrics for measurement solutions, and ensure telemetry and reporting are in place to track progress and outcomes.
- Ensure data quality and reliability: Drive solid practices around event pipelines, telemetry, data validation, and system observability to ensure accurate and trusted measurement.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
- 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
- Demonstrated ability to translate PRDs into shipped outcomes across multiple engineering teams and systems.
- Solid expertise in dependency management, risk mitigation, planning, and release execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level updates.
- Experience working closely with Engineering Managers and Software Engineers in highly technical environments.
- Solid technical fluency with event pipelines, telemetry systems, data quality validation, and large-scale data processing.
- Experience with advertising measurement, conversion tracking, attribution, experimentation, or analytics platforms.

Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
