Overview:

Microsoft Specialized Clouds Security (MSC Security) delivers trusted, mission‑critical security solutions for customers with the most demanding and regulated requirements.
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to help scale core security product offerings, with a focus on Microsoft Defender Suite. In this role, you will define and execute product strategy aligned to Microsoft’s security vision, drive cross‑functional collaboration, and ensure secure, compliant, and consistent experiences across specialized cloud environments. You will partner closely with engineering, compliance, and customer teams to prioritize secure‑by‑design capabilities, manage risk, and accelerate adoption of Defender solutions that protect identity, infrastructure, and data. This role requires strong technical judgment, data‑driven decision‑making, and the ability to deliver high‑impact security outcomes for customers with specialized compliance and security needs.

- Responsibilities- Define and drive product and program goals across multiple security feature areas, identifying gaps and opportunities that improve the security posture of Microsoft Defender Suite in specialized cloud environments.
- Partner with engineering, architecture, and security stakeholders to define, validate, and govern technical solutions that meet regulatory, compliance, and customer security requirements.
- Lead complex, cross‑functional programs from concept through delivery, aligning internal teams and external partners to execute secure‑by‑design capabilities at scale.
- Represent product direction and technical solutions to internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring clarity, trust, and adoption of Defender security solutions.
- Model Microsoft’s culture and values by fostering collaboration, accountability, and a growth mindset while raising the bar on security excellence.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software developmentOR equivalent experience.

Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software developmentOR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
- 7+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
