Overview
Are you passionate about solving technical problems with exciting business potential and direct customer impact? Do you want to help build and ship new services in Azure from the ground up? Does working with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to transform how they build their services on Azure sound exciting?
The Azure Developer Experience team at Microsoft India Development Center (IDC) is looking for a senior product manager to help create new categories of offerings that complement the Azure hyper scale cloud in conjunction with the Open-Source Software (OSS) community and ISV partners. Our team’s mission is to make Azure the best cloud for all developers.
We look for creative problem-solvers to join our product management team. It doesn’t matter what your previous job titles have been – we expect that you’re comfortable with prototyping and experimentation, partnering with internal and external teams to get things done, tackling ambiguous questions, and learning new skills. You’ll need the humility to be okay with ideas and projects that don’t pan out and be able to learn from them. You’ll have the support of your team and active sponsorship from our executive team.
Responsibilities:
Here’s what you’ll do and learn to be successful in this role:
- Work with customers, internal teams, and ISV partners to understand requirements, identify gaps and validate hypothesis for new product offerings.
- Work closely with engineers, partners, and stakeholders to gather and prioritize scenario requirements, scope projects, and align delivery of scenarios per external commitments.
- Work with product marketing and business development teams to design partnership agreements and define product-market fit for new service offerings.
- Define and deliver on feature vision and roadmap.
- Drive technical conversations with ISVs and internal partners to ensure Azure provides the best possible customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify new offerings on the Azure platform.
- Contribute to go-to-market activities working with product marketing and partners.
Qualifications:
Required
- At least 8+ years of experience in product management shipping enterprise/business-to-business products in the software industry
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or similar engineering discipline, OR equivalent industry experience
- Experience partnering with engineering teams on technical design and delivery of enterprise software or solutions, cloud service, distributed systems, or software platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, combined with a strategic orientation, as well as an aptitude for solving complex business problems.
Preferred
- Ability to define customer-focused scenarios, author detailed functional specifications and work with internal and external partner teams to ensure that scenarios are delivered end-to-end.
- Ability to collaborate and influence effectively across a broad set of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience defining roadmap and go-to-market plans for enterprise-targeted product.
