Authentication Experiences team builds best in class experiences for the customers to balance the security and usability needs. We aspire to meet where the customers are and deliver seamless experiences across all devices and form factors. Examples of such experiences are: User signing into their work PC OR User launching Outlook app on their mobile device to check their emails OR User signing into their XBox to access video games through their Game pass subscriptions.

This role is targeting an immediate start date.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with Program Managers and other engineers to design and implement features.
• Designs features according to the team standards to scale billions of users across the globe in many different languages and geographies.
• Implements the features using the React/JS and the latest frameworks available.
• Ensures the feature is impemented with high quality through automated unit tests and end to end validations
• Safely deploys the features in production through gradual deployments and monitors the health of the running service.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 1+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript or PythonOR equivalent experience.
• Proven Experience as Fullstack Developer.
• Proven experience in Large scale services.

Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $84,200 - $165,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $109,000 - $180,400 per year.
