The Product Risk & Compliance (Risk) Product Analytics VP role will lead the Data Science and Data Engineering functions for the Risk pillars (Privacy Areas, Foundations, and Central Youth). The role is key in driving the company's overall risk strategy, including competition, accessibility, and youth ensuring Meta's products and services are designed with compliance in mind, and the company complies with global regulatory requirements. The VP Analytics role is responsible for ensuring data informed strategy and execution along with a high focus on efficiencies and optimization across our cross-Meta investments.

VP of Product Analytics, Product Risk & Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Key member of Risk leadership team (across Eng, PM, Product Design, Analytics) led by Michel Protti (Meta's Chief Privacy and Compliance Officer, Product) and defines and executes upon all aspects of the product roadmaps and communicates vision/roadmap/execution updates to org
  • The role is key to ensuring we meet regulatory obligations to reduce product and compliance risks (both interpretation and implementation risks) for Meta, optimize solutions to reduce product and compliance costs, and unlock Meta topline value
  • Uplevel the products, business, and organization by asking the most important data questions, holding a high-quality bar, leading with data, influencing with persuasive storytelling
  • a masterful change agent and strategist, and an action-oriented leader of leaders
  • Leads a global org of 150+ data scientists and data engineers and partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design and other core cross-functional teams to develop, inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy and investment decisions
  • Partners closely with Risk Leadership and other key stakeholders x FoA and x Meta
  • Role owns all aspects of functional (DE and DS) development within the scope including Risk org goals, metrics, and measurement
  • Responsible for delivering on a wide range of analytical problems from internal data assets, data systems, product and compliance reviews (which touch every diff at the company that involves user data), employee experiences, regulatory landscape, external pressures, to infrastructure and strategically ambiguous spaces where we may have very little data (e.g. regulators), etc.
  • Responsible for delivering on the youth product roadmap and all of the age assurance and prediction workstreams (age prediction for all goaling and product use cases across FoA and M10N and is central to FB YA and IG teen priorities, age gating etc)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of work experience managing analytics teams, working collaboratively with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional partners, and guiding data-influenced product and business planning, prioritization, strategy development, and execution.
  • Demonstrated experience in hiring, retaining, growing, scaling and strategically optimizing diverse, geographically dispersed, high-performing teams.
  • Proven experience influencing product strategy and driving change with executives across organizational boundaries through clear and compelling communication of data-driven insights and analyses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and implementing effective data driven product risk management and compliance strategies.
  • Knowledge of and/or familiarity with Regulatory Readiness Programs and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
  • Experience with both product and business analytics work and demonstrated experience to deliver an integrated approach.
