At Meta, we're building the future of human connection and the technology that enables it. This means continuously inventing and developing technologies for the next generation of experiences. To continue our efforts in the path to AGI, and as we move closer to a future with intelligent robots and advanced AI models, we're hiring talent across a broad range of disciplines from robotics hardware to system software, machine perception, and artificial intelligence. These crucial projects and initiatives taken on by this team have never been done before, so you have a rare opportunity to help us create new ways people connect around the world.

Meta Robotics Studio (MRS) is seeking a Technical Program Manager who will lead the evolution and execution of the data collection and annotation strategy for MRS. This TPM is responsible for building and managing an internal data operations function, including a contingent workforce co-located with MRS research and engineering teams. The TPM will serve as the primary point of contact for all new data operations initiatives, collaborating closely with research, software, prototype hardware, MRS Safety, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Facilities, Product Data Operations, and Meta tools and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated solutions for human demonstration and teleoperation scenarios.

Data Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to converge on scalable data collection and annotation solutions
  • Develop a software and metrics strategy to enable large scale data collection and labelling of human demonstration, teleoperation, and simulation
  • Ensure compliance with safety and EHS requirements
  • Track, analyze, and improve performance and efficiency of operators and annotators (internal and external) working through others
  • Lead and run Monthly Business Reviews to report metrics and progress to leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science, or a relevant technical field
  • 12+ years of experience in Technical Program Management
  • Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience in data operations, annotation, and workforce management in a technical environment
  • Experience collaborating with research, engineering, safety, and operations teams
  • Experience leading, driving strategic planning, and communicating
  • Experience of solving complex problems and embracing ambiguity to drive innovative and impactful solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science, or a related field
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment while communicating complex concepts clearly and succinctly
  • Experience with navigating highly ambiguous, startup initiatives
  • Experience optimizing design of existing products or devices
