As one of Meta's Developer Support Solutions Engineers, you will be part of a team responsible for supporting large-scale, highly-technical, internal products. You will be embedded in a team of internal product engineers where you will create self-service content, answer frontline support questions, represent the user in team meetings and product roadmaps, and drive AI quality and adoption.
Developer Support Solutions Engineer Responsibilities:
- Respond to and triage support questions from Meta engineers, ensuring timely and effective resolution of developer issues
- Leverage AI-powered tools and analytics to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges, continuously improving support quality and efficiency
- Document, refine, and enhance developer support processes and workflows
- proactively plan improvements and drive operational success
- Collaborate cross-functionally with content engineers, product engineers, product managers, and leadership to deliver actionable customer feedback and surface data-driven insights that inform product feature and bug prioritization
- Analyze support interactions to identify trends, automate repetitive tasks, and recommend process improvements using modern AI and automation technologies
- Stay current with advancements in AI and developer tools, sharing insights and fostering innovation within the developer community
- Demonstrate technical writing skills by creating, editing, and following documentation and run-books to research and resolve customer issues
- Educate and mentor team members on best practices for integrating Meta's AI solutions, including onboarding, documentation, and hands-on developer support
- Design, develop, and maintain small-scale tooling projects that enhance information access and support workflows for the DSS mission
- Leverage AI technologies to test solutions, develop and configure agentic tools, and collaborate cross-functionally to advance AI adoption within developer support
- Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives on AI technologies, fostering upskilling and innovation across the broader team
- Contribute to development projects focused on improving content delivery and support systems, applying coding skills and technical expertise
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in computer science, technical writing, physics, mathematics, or chemistry or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience with a programming language such as JavaScript, Objective-C, Java, PHP, Python, etc
- 2+ years experience in developer support and/or developer outreach for a developer audience or equivalent experience
- Technical understanding of the general development process of shipping code, testing and releasing to production
- Demonstrated problem solving experience to rapidly assess, analyze, and resolve or troubleshoot issues, and distill solutions into clear and concise communications
- Effective communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Proven experience in building successful trusted partnerships while managing multiple assignments and/or responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in developer support, software engineering, or related technical roles
- Experience working with AI/ML technologies, agentic tools, or automation platforms
- Prior experience developing internal tooling or support automation solutions
- Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks
- Experience supporting internal enterprise products or platforms at scale
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring, educating, or upskilling engineering teams
- Demonstrated analytical skills with experience using data-driven approaches to identify trends and drive process improvements
- Familiarity with Meta's internal support processes, tools, and developer ecosystem
- Experience influencing product roadmaps through actionable feedback and data-driven insights

$98,000/year to $142,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
