The Public Policy Associate Manager, Vietnam and Southeast Asia, will support our Public Policy efforts in a rapidly evolving tech policy landscape. This role will support strategy execution and stakeholder engagements that are key to achieving regulatory and policy priorities aligned with Meta's operations and strategy in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.As Public Policy Associate Manager for Vietnam and Southeast Asia, you will engage in regulatory discussions and initiatives on policy matters that are at the intersection of technology, society, and government, with a focus on the impact of Meta's products, platforms, and AI technologies in the context of Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

Public Policy Associate Manager, Vietnam & Southeast Asia Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with government, policymakers, regulators, civil society, businesses, and industry associations, especially those engaged with AI and digital policy
• Policy Development and Advocacy: Shape discussions on legislative, regulatory, and multiple issues such as content moderation, AI and digital infrastructure
• Communicate the societal impact and policy implications of Meta's products in Vietnam and Southeast Asia
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other leaders and teams across legal, communications, product, operations, and AI research to enable coordinated policy approaches and advocacy
• Monitor regulatory trends and emerging issues across the digital space in Vietnam and Southeast Asia and work with global teams to develop proactive solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, law, government, technology, or related fields
• Demonstrated understanding of the policy landscape in Vietnam and Southeast Asia
• Proven experience in engaging policy stakeholders and supporting implementation of policy strategies that balance technological advancement and regulatory requirements
• Experienced in communicating and presenting effectively in Vietnamese and English
• Demonstrated track record of collaborating in cross functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Track record of maintaining high ethical standards, professionalism,
• Experience in digital technology policy in a multinational environment
• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and understanding Indonesian policy landscape are advantages
• Demonstrated experience engaging with an established network of government and non government stakeholders to drive policy objectives
