As the Manager of the Specialized Assessment Product Risk Program Manager (SA PRPM) team, you will lead a critical function within Meta's risk management. Your leadership will empower the team to effectively triage and support risk reviews for new products and features that challenge company policy, introduce novel or untested risks, or require specialized scrutiny.
You will guide your team as they shape how Meta assesses high-risk product decisions, often in fast-moving or ambiguous environments. This role requires cross-functional partnership, driving aligned decision-making, and ensuring the right expertise is engaged to evaluate complex tradeoffs. The ideal leader is thoughtful, bringing structure to ambiguity and clarity to risk. They work effectively across teams, building and driving a high-performing team. You can spot issues quickly, anticipate challenges, and know how to drive them to resolution. You balance velocity with responsibility and excel at convening stakeholders to make principled, tough decisions.
Specialized Assessment Product Risk Program Manager, Team Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the SA PRPM team as they assess, triage, and escalate product risks that are novel, ambiguous, or policy-challenging
- Coordinate with Legal, Policy, Data Strategy, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure high-risk reviews are surfaced and addressed with speed and rigor
- Oversee the translation of complex technical and product concepts into structured assessments and actionable recommendations
- Facilitate decision-making using risk-based frameworks that balance product velocity with compliance and responsibility
- Ensure escalations are documented, tracked, and resolved with transparency, consistency, and accountability
- Identify and drive continuous improvements in escalation workflows, guidance, and tooling
- Mentor and develop team members, enhancing their judgment, strategic foresight, and cross-domain risk management capabilities
- Represent the team in presenting risk perspectives to stakeholders and navigating ambiguity in high-impact decisions
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of leadership experience, including leading and scaling teams in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments
- 10+ years of experience in program management, product operations, trust & safety, privacy, compliance, or related fields
- Proven ability to manage high-pressure, complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Effective communication, cross-functional alignment, and stakeholder management skills, especially with executive stakeholders and in navigating sensitive tradeoffs
- Data-driven decision-making skills with experience in using metrics to guide team performance and impact
- Demonstrated ability to influence decisions without formal authority and drive results through collaboration
- Proven experience in leading and scaling teams in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment
- Ability to manage competing priorities and drive results through influence and collaboration
- Familiarity with data flows, technical systems, product risks, and mitigation strategies
- Experience developing and executing strategic plans aligned with broader organizational goals
- Coaching and mentoring skills with a track record of developing high-potential talent
- Experience leading change management initiatives and driving process improvements at team or organizational levels
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in privacy, content, legal, or compliance-related product issues
- Understanding of regulatory, reputational, or policy risks in consumer-facing technology
- Background in leading initiatives that drive change
- Experience working with executive leadership to influence product and risk strategy
- Analytical experience and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing budgets, resource planning, or vendor relationships

$188,000/year to $256,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
