Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Turnaround Lead (Operations Manager) for our site in Ballydine, Co. Tipperary, to manage the API IPT Turnaround group resources to achieve production plan within profit plan targets through effective planning and execution of turnaround activities.

Role Profile

  • As a member of the API IPT Leadership Team is responsible for strategy development and implementation.
  • Own and report production performance metrics (inventory, cost, cycle time, customer service) and develop action plans to close gaps.
  • Ensures analyses and monitoring of turnaround activities to identify differences between actual and expected performance based on observed and recorded data.
  • Ensures day to day liaison with site stakeholders regarding turnaround activities.
  • Ensuring all turnaround activities are performed in compliance with cGMP, Environmental, Labour, Industrial Health, and Safety regulations.
  • Ensures adherence to all trade union agreements and attends monthly Union meetings as required
  • Continually assesses and develops the performance of each member of the team.
  • Responsible for ongoing training and development of the team members as well as
  • team as required.
  • Drives effective writing/revising/rolling out of accurate operational procedures, training materials, and standardized work for turnaround.
  • Ensures all work is completed in line with procedural requirements and real time documentation completion.
  • Leading and driving continuous improvement activities through use of the appropriate LSS tools (Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, KATA.
  • Responsible for developing turnaround metrics and through continuous improvement initiatives can show tangible improvements for each consecutive turnaround.

Your profile

  • Hold a Third Level qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering or Science discipline.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Have a proven track record of being able to analyse information from different stakeholders’ perspectives and draw accurate conclusions to support timely decision-making.

  • Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and coach others to achieve results.
  • Openness to and ability to affect change.
  • Ability to challenge existing practices and identify improvements.

  • High personal integrity, credibility, and energy.
