Job Description:

Are you a passionate and experienced leader in microbiology looking for a key leadership role? We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Quality Control (QC) department and make a real impact. In this position, you will guide our QC Microbiology team, helping us bring innovative oncology treatments to patients around the world.

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:

  • Lead and Inspire: Guide, coach, and mentor a talented QC Microbiology team. You will foster a diverse and inclusive culture where everyone can thrive and grow their careers.
  • Drive Excellence: Oversee all microbiological testing for our manufacturing processes, including in-process, release, and stability testing. This includes techniques like bioburden, endotoxin, environmental monitoring, and water for injection (WFI) testing.
  • Shape Our Future: Help build a modern, tech-enabled laboratory. You will champion continuous improvement, explore new technologies, and implement efficient systems to enhance our operations.
  • Collaborate and Solve: Work with teams across the site and our global network to solve problems and build our testing capabilities. You will lead investigations, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Uphold Quality: Represent the QC department during regulatory and internal inspections, ensuring our commitment to the highest quality standards.

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

  • A degree or higher in Microbiology, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Significant professional experience (at least 10 years), with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
  • A strong working knowledge of the biotech industry, particularly in QC operations and regulatory requirements.
  • The expertise to mentor your team on the microbiological methods used at our site.
  • A passion for building inclusive teams and working effectively with people from all backgrounds.
