Senior Manager, Software Quality Management II

Key points and objectives of the position

QM China Hub takes the responsibility for consolidating and enhancing various central quality functions in China. Quality EE Satellite acts as one of the most important part of QM China Hub ensures both PbP and CBU carlines quality in terms of E/E MBOS Quality validation and release Management, OTA management, COP test, reliability under PS China in MBGC

Main task

• 1. Management

• The management, motivation and development of staff using HR tools, founded on our mission statement & corporate values, and provision of purposeful internal communications in order to achieve the agreed objectives.

• Ensuring that the necessary training appropriate to the needs of individual employees and the tasks assigned to them is provided.

• Informing subordinated employees about the relevant provisions and instructing them to comply with the provisions. Ensuring that they are implemented properly.

• 2. E/E Quality Management including Digital Services and Overall OTA functionality.

• Leading overall E/E Q-Release Process and Execution (Inc. Body E/E, ADAS, Telematics, Digital services and OTA Update) in China for both CBU and PbP carlines; Conducting E/E Q-Release which as a key milestone before SOP to ensure E/E functionality and customer satisfaction.

• Leading the PLQ Technic EE role in China focus on conceptual design of China specific features, Chinese customer fitting user journey, as well as the early involvement of development testing.

3. COP emission and fuel consumption tests for CBU Vehicle:

• Coordinating and supporting COP emission and fuel consumption tests for CBU vehicles in China to ensure the fulfilment of Chinese regulation

4. Reliability and car data analysis:

• Ensure the reliability process implementation in the critical China specific component development phase; support RD activities in China in terms of reliability methodology
• Leading the car data analysis as part of Data Driven Quality, especially in the EE Area to utilize testing data and customer data to enhance testing productivity with high quality standard.

Qualification

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

• At least 8 years working experience in automotive industry.

• Strong engineering background, Quality, R&D, project management and aftersales experience is a plus.

• At least 3 years in a leading position in international company, Mercedes-Benz is preferred.

• Specific knowledge

• Proven team leader besides being a good team player.

• Target and result oriented.

• Familiar with Mercedes-Benz development, quality management & aftersales process.

• Various quality knowledge’s in automotive industry.

• Network within RD, QM, BBAC and BMBS.

• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

• Fluent English, German is a plus.
