A Day in the Life
The FP&A Senior Manager for the Global Commercial Office (GCO) plays a critical role in driving financial performance, delivering insights, and shaping strategic decisions across the business. This is a newly created role that will lead our FP&A team working to connect our segment financials across the Commercial functions.
Reporting to the FP&A Director, this role serves as a trusted advisor and thought partner to functional and financial leaders, providing forward looking analysis, scenario modeling, and recommendations that influence strategic and operational outcomes.
- The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling expertise, business acumen, and storytelling skills to connect financial results with business drivers and enable data driven decision making.
- Lead FP&A team across Commercial Functions on key deliverables around month-end, quarter close activities, forecasting and annual operating plan
- Collaborate across finance teams to ensure alignment of messaging, proactive insights, ad hoc analysis aligned to deliver revenue and operating profit goals
- Manage team and individual performance, developing talent, engagement and inclusion, communicating business and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of direct reports.
- Review business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and controls through automation, and partner with stakeholders to implement any changes.
- Establish new processes and reporting for our partners that help track key initiatives we are working on to achieve our goals.
- Develop quota model for business partners to utilize to allocate account targets.
- Manage commission process by calculating and submitting for payment.
- Establish headcount tracking, reconciliation, and reporting while partnering with HR and functional leaders on hiring plans.
- Build driver-based financial models to assess business scenarios and quantify risks and opportunities.
- Drive process simplification, standardization, and automation of FP&A deliverables.
- Contribute to financial systems enhancements (e.g., planning tools, dashboards) to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Champion best practices in analytical rigor and data visualization.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Requires a Bachelors degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5 years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5 years of managerial experience.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$144,000.00 - $216,000.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20 hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).
Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
