Medtronic Surgical Robotics Business Developer

A Medtronic Surgical Robotics business developer is responsible for selling the Medtronic Hugo™ Robotic Assisted Surgery System to a selected list of our existing hospitals clients. This requires several talents, including the ability to build a coalition of supporters within each hospital, strong client engagement and problem-solving skills, being full of energy to keep going through long and complex sales cycles, topped with a natural eagerness and drive to bring opportunities to closure.

Are you a highly motivated capital equipment business developer that knows the world of operating theatre inside out? Do you know minimal invasive surgery, can convince surgeons as well as budget holders in hospital on high impact decisions regarding medical capital equipment purchases? Are you energized by a highly competitive environment?

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Be out in the field and travel frequently to meet with clients and colleagues
  • Achieve clear, ambitious, and measurable sales targets for Hugo™ Robotic Assisted Surgery (RAS systems)
  • Engage with surgeon teams to assess the opportunity for expansion of robotic assisted surgery
  • Support surgical teams in leading hospitals to enhance and augment their clinical strategy through the use of the Medtronic Hugo™ Surgical Robotic System
  • Develop and execute clear competitive strategies against rival RAS platforms
  • Convert congresses, workshops, and clinical events into tangible sales opportunities
  • Take ownership of tender processes, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
  • Actively manage the sales funnel; regularly report on pipeline, forecasts, and closed deals
  • Convince surgical teams of the benefits brought by the Medtronic Hugo™ Surgical Robotic System in areas of improved outcomes, benefits to patients, faster recovery, benefits of advanced surgical techniques, superiority of advanced 3D & high-resolution imaging during surgery, benefits of digital solution for surgery, ease of use for surgical teams, OR efficiency, cost effectivity
  • Engage and convince budget-holders and executives in leading hospitals by jointly developing business cases and total cost of ownership (TCO) comparisons and cost per procedure analysis to support making informed decisions regarding the purchase and use of the Medtronic Hugo™ Surgical Robotic System

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in leading negotiations and selling complex medical device or capital equipment with a proven track record of success
  • Bachelor degree
  • Native Turkish language level and proficiency in English
  • You are a winner, but in the right way. You play by the rules and do not cut corners ethically
  • You respect and adhere to company policies
  • Strong negotiation experience with hospital executives, surgeon leaders, and purchasing committees
  • Data-driven, comfortable managing sales through pipeline, forecasting, and KPIs
  • Excellent presentation, persuasion, and executive presence
  • You maintain active network in the field of surgery, operating theatres and have network of surgeons to you connect with regularly
  • Operation room work experience
  • Travelling request: +70% of the time
