A Day in the Life

As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician at Medtronic Singapore, you will play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing and production operations. You will perform intermediate-level installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on a variety of manufacturing and plant equipment, helping ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime. You will use your technical skills to diagnose issues, interpret technical documentation, and carry out repairs, while maintaining accurate records and supporting process improvements. This position provides opportunities to coach new team members and contribute to Medtronic’s commitment to quality and operational excellence.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Perform daily line sustaining for equipment repair event/Process monitoring.

• Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities on Production Equipment and timely update preventive maintenance schedule in Indysoft.

• Perform process operating documents training and certification to production operator.

• Support Engineer for perform the equipment qualification activities such as equipment setup and equipment testing.

• Perform 5S housekeeping and Safety Hazards on Production equipment or work area.

• Perform daily passdown for highlight areas of concerns/equipment issue to the Team.

• Perform daily check and timely update for OAPP/OAPPV2 event when assigned.

• Perform timely complete the cornerstone training when assigned.

• Perform daily check and timely update for preventive maintenance schedule

• Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.

• Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.

• Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.

• Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.

• May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.

• May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.

• Good to have experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or a similar technical field.

• Vocational or technical education or certification (required in Singapore).

• Strong knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting techniques for manufacturing equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals.

• Experience with hand, power, and test tools.

• Good documentation and data entry skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
