Associate Biomed Technician Position Overview

This Associate Biomed Technician position offers a comprehensive opportunity in the biomedical equipment field with a focus on preventative maintenance and minor repairs. Let me break down the key details for you:

Compensation and Schedule

The role offers a competitive salary range of $23.50 - $25.00 per hour with a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with some flexibility based on task completion requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs on various biomedical equipment

• Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe service environment

• Meeting individual and departmental productivity goals

• Managing inventory processes and utility technician responsibilities

• Communicating professionally with vendors and customers to resolve issues

• Maintaining compliance with all applicable standards, SOPs, and work instructions

• Learning and utilizing biomedical systems like One Track and various device testing software

• Upholding Mc Kesson's i2Care and i Lead principles

• Promoting a customer and patient-centric culture

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• 0-1 years of related experience (entry-level position)

• Good decision-making skills

• Strong organizational and time management abilities

• Effective communication skills

• Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

• Physical capability to lift 50+ pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• Biomedical Associates Degree

• Healthcare technology management degree

• Biomedical-related military experience

• Vocational certification from an Accredited Certificate Program

• Experience in medical device repair

• Experience with biomedical programming/use

• Prior work experience in the biomedical field
