Overview:
Mastercard Move is Mastercard’s portfolio of money movement capabilities powering a variety of payment experiences including person-to-person, business-to-consumer, and business-to-business disbursements. Mastercard Move enables money to move quickly and safely, both domestically and internationally, reaching more than 10 billion endpoints and more than 95% of the world’s banked population.
The Director, Specialist Sales – Transfer Solutions will be responsible for driving revenue growth and market adoption of Mastercard Move products by leading complex, consultative sales engagements and supporting regional go‑to‑market execution. This role serves as a subject‑matter expert in domestic and Cross-Border A2A payments, partnering closely with divisional sales teams, product, and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant, and commercially viable solutions to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the commercialization strategy for Mastercard Move products across assigned markets and customer segments delivering against revenue and growth objectives.
- Serve as a recognized subject‑matter expert on Mastercard Move capabilities providing thought leadership to clients and internal teams.
- Lead complex, consultative sales cycles with financial institutions, fintechs, payment service providers, and enterprise clients, addressing money movement use cases.
- Partner with divisional business development teams to identify opportunities, develop tailored value propositions, and advance opportunities from pipeline development through contract execution.
- Support deal structuring and commercial negotiations
- Provide structured market and customer feedback to product and strategy teams, contributing insights on regional trends, competitive dynamics, and evolving customer needs to inform product roadmap and go‑to‑market strategy.
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and transparency in opportunity tracking and revenue projections.
Experience:
- Strong domain expertise in cross border payments, domestic alternative payment methods (APMs), wallets, and card rail money transfer products
- Extensive experience in sales or business development within payments, financial services, or fintech, with a strong focus on Cross-Border or international payment solutions
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience in deal structuring and negotiation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Financial performance acumen (ability to create and understand business performance models)
- Strong customer engagement skills
- Experienced public speaker
- English and Spanish required, Portuguese proficiency preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required, Advanced degree preferred
