Title and Summary

Senior Analyst, Business Development

Overview:

  • Expand Master Card business by delivering the best payment solutions.
  • Deploy a strategy to benefit our business partners, consumers, government and communities.
  • Support the business development team in delivering value to customers.
  • Identify new opportunities by leveraging Master Card technology, transaction information, tools, and other resources.

Role

  • Execute the account initiatives and campaigns by understanding and knowing payments industry players, products, technologies, etc., identifying business opportunities and delivering strong commercial execution, leveraging Master Card´s products & services value proposition to manage account´s pain points, by understanding their competitive advantage and milestones.
  • Execute assigned projects/initiatives focus on meeting annual targets by managing specific products lifecycle, being responsible for such product P&L performance (drivers and revenue lines), optimizing such product performance by negotiating and leading on a daily basis at Manager level within Products and Portfolio Management account teams.
  • Execute successfully projects and initiatives through a strong relationship with the account and ensure alignment with all Master Card internal areas, leading internal Master Card teams (Products, Marketing, etc.), executing projects aligned with bank´s strategy and financial requirements.
  • Improve Master Card acquisition, activation, usage and retention by leading all activities related to the account´s Master Card assets, from complying with internal processes to designing and executing campaigns, leading marketing effort, and overall assets management process. Ensure successful execution of assets campaigns, aligned with the business strategy, through relating and negotiating with Account Managers (and Master Card teams (Products, Portfolio Management, Marketing, etc.).
  • Generate analysis, reports, presentations, etc. on account and market performance (GDV, accounts, average spend, etc. growth, trends, etc.) on all portfolios for internal and external purposes. Ensures account has a sustained opportunity pipeline, reflected in Salesforce.com
  • Responsible for the account management/business development of the customers. Execute strategic/tactical plans to enhance customer and Master Card profitability to deliver against account team targets for Master Card products & services
  • Responsible for the ongoing tracking of customer’s performance at a business, portfolio, and product level. Analyze customer’s business through profitability modeling, financial forecasting and competitive analysis to direct sales strategies.

All About You:

  • Consulting, consumer products, consumer finance or marketing background
  • Problem-solving, research and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated IT literacy to work with tools, databases and applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or similar
  • Dynamic, energetic, team performer
  • Self-driven, able to work in small office environment
