Manager, Biz Ops
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced, technically strong, and detail‑oriented Business Operations (Biz Ops) Manager to lead the operational management of our Digital Payments Platform in Turkey. This role is pivotal in ensuring day‑to‑day operational excellence, regulatory compliance (including Central Bank of Turkey requirements), infrastructure reliability, and continuous process improvement.
As the Biz Ops Manager, you will be the operational owner of our payment’s ecosystem — bridging business operations with engineering, DevOps, compliance, and external partners. You will oversee both business workflows and technical operational processes, ensuring high availability, security, and seamless end‑to‑end service delivery.
Role
In this position, your key responsibilities will be:
Operational Ownership:
Own the daily business operations of the digital payments platform, including transaction monitoring, settlement flows, and issue resolution.
Oversee incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management processes.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with Central Bank of Turkey regulations and reporting requirements.
Coordinate audits, inspections, regulatory filings, and infrastructure compliance
Maintain operational documentation aligned with regulatory standards.
Process Improvement:
Identify, document, and optimize operational workflows.
Automate manual processes to improve efficiency and support platform scalability.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations, engineering, and support teams
Technical & Infrastructure Operations:
Oversee monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki, etc.).
Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment/rollback processes.
Ensure high availability, performance, and capacity management across infrastructure and applications.
Support the management of Linux‑based systems, containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and private cloud platforms.
Oversee security, access control, IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and hardening practices.
Cross-functional Coordination:
Work closely with product, engineering, legal, finance, compliance, and customer support teams to launch new features and maintain seamless operational processes.
Act as the operational point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Risk Management:
Proactively identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans.
Develop and maintain business continuity, disaster recovery (DR), and high‑availability plans.
Ensure proactive monitoring and rapid response to operational issues.
Reporting & Analysis:
Generate operational dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders and regulators. Monitor KPIs and drive data-driven decisions.
Vendor and Partner Management:
Coordinate with payment partners, banks, processors, and other third parties to ensure smooth operations and SLAs.
All About You:
The ideal candidate for this position should have following qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in IT Operations / DevOps
Strong operational experience in payment systems, banking infrastructure, or other high‑availability environments.
Experience working in a Central Bank–regulated environment is a strong plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related fields
Skills:
Strong knowledge of Linux systems (Ubuntu), networking fundamentals (DNS, Load Balancer, Firewall), and cloud infrastructure.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), and Infrastructure as Code.
Familiarity with security practices, penetration testing concepts, vulnerability scanning, and system hardening.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc).
Strong understanding of payment infrastructure, financial regulations, and operational risk.
Excellent analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
Strong communication, project management, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage complex cross‑functional initiatives.
Team‑oriented, responsible, and adaptable to hybrid work environments and dynamic schedules.
Ability to read and write technical documentation in English.
Fluent in Turkish and English.
