Title and Summary
Senior Platform Engineer:
Overview:
Mastercard Enterprise Operations team provides essential technical support for our operations environment.
As a key member of the team, you would provide project support, training for junior staff, and utilize applied engineering techniques to develop and implement new technology initiatives.
You will also analyze trends over time to assess Mastercard's system performance and develop improvement plans and escalation protocols, ensuring accurate execution.
- The Role
- Perform Tier II support functions for the Mastercard Enterprise Operations team
- Provide project support for major initiatives with an emphasis on operations and operational support
- Perform proactive network analysis to ensure network integrity and performance is in an optimal state
- Develop documentation to support the operations environment
- Develop metrics to measure efficiencies within the environment
- Interact effectively with partners, customers and stakeholders
- Plan, coordinate and implement change within the network infrastructure
- Produce reports and documentation of impacting issues
- Understand documentation of tickets and manage shifts tickets.
Work Arrangements: - Participate on an on-call roster after a qualifying period of time
- Hybrid working environment
All about You:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience is required
- Bachelor's degree in Network engineering or computer science equivalent will be a plus
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Delegation skills to ensure comprehensive coverage, support leadership, provide guidance to the team, and understand daily issues, activities, and implementations during shifts
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, security measures and best practices.
- Hand-on experience with Aruba Clearpass is highly desirable.
- Expertise in managing Palo Alto Firewalls, including Panorama, and proficiency with Checkpoint Firewalls.
- Sound knowledge of Arista EOS and CVP (Cloud Vision Portal)
- Proficient in the implementation and management of SDWAN and DMVPN with PfR on Cisco networks.
- Experience in packet analysis using Wireshark.
- Candidate will require broad knowledge in routing/switching, tunneling, security operations/engineering, MPLS, Firewalls and SDWAN
- Basic scripting and tool monitoring,
- Firewalls and SDWAN experience highly desired.
