Mastercard Advisors team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing the cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast around the globe, this agile team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse global customer base. We combine traditional management consulting with our rich data assets and in-house technology to provide our clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, test-and-learn business experimentation, and data-driven information and risk management services. While specializing in the payments industry, Mastercard Data & Services also works closely with major retailers, airlines, and other enterprises, leveraging data and insights garnered from within and beyond its network.
Responsibilities:
This is a senior Business Development role within Advisor’s Strategic Accounts team. This role is responsible for managing one of the largest Mastercard clients for APAC (coverage across 10+ countries). Key responsibilities include:
- Working with Customer Account Team to access client needs and strategic agenda. Use MC Advisors to Differentiate and Expand Mastercard business with customer, including new product, new service, new partners, etc.
- Leading key regional and local strategic initiatives to grow the Data & Services P&L
- Leading end-to-end sales efforts from research and storyboarding to client presentations and contract signing
- Bring in new thought leadership and innovation to establish MC Advisors brand across key customer stakeholders
- Oversee project delivery through to successful completion while building strong client relationships
- Achieve sales targets responsibly and ethically, and with customer needs in mind
- Build and inculcate relationships to become a trusted advisor to Senior/Executive level clients
The position will be based in Hong Kong and will require occasional travel within APAC.
All About You:
- Strong experience in consultative sales and managing senior client stakeholders.
- Ability to develop compelling sales narratives in influencing sales closure. Demonstrated ability to initiate, develop, and close a sale
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Consulting experience from a top-rated consulting firm
- MBA preferred but not required (strong candidates without graduate degree will be considered)
- Highest level of self-motivation with a hunting-attitude
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Language requirement: proficient English is a must. Mandarin / Cantonese are a plus but not required.
