Overview:
The Business Security Enablement Guild is seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer to serve as a Program Security Engineer for the Integrated Marketing and Communications program. The ideal candidate is passionate about keeping a strong security posture while allowing the business to meet its business goals.
Role
The role requires a blend of cybersecurity experience and highly developed communication skills to be a security liaison and engineer for the program. In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives and projects, collaborate with business partners, vendor/consulting organisations, and peer-level professionals from other IT disciplines.
- Security review of internally developed and 3rd party software including SaaS, as per Mastercard policies and standards, and suggest appropriate direction to the business.
- Influence and implement security requirements, standards, and architecture for the security aspects of large, complex projects.
- Raise opportunities for improvement to senior leadership.
- Responsible for reviewing and providing feedback for improvements to front-line metrics to ensure controls are being met as defined.
- Support the design, testing, and implementation of complex security solutions to meet security and business requirements.
- Cultivate and maintain working relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders, including business owners, end-users, customers, project managers, engineers, and senior leadership.
All About You:
The ideal candidate for this position should have:
- IT experience with demonstrated thought-leadership, cross-functional influence and partnership demonstrated by a successful track record of enabling business through these technical decisions.
- Experience leading project teams, collaborating with business partners, vendor/ consulting organizations and peer-level professionals from other IT disciplines.
- Information Security Engineering experience, including risk identification with options and compensating controls to remediate.
- Knowledge of information security, risk management, and data privacy within the domain of digital commerce, including relevant practical experience.
- Good understanding of identity management, user authentication and authorisation principles.
- Demonstrated experience designing secure multi-domain Internet-facing applications.
- Experience providing security architecture advice for web-based network environments and secure communication between environments, including web services, web applications, and mobile applications.
- Basic knowledge and experience in cryptography, including several of the following: encryption, hashing, key management, digital certificates, and TLS.
- Demonstrate the ability to articulate and communicate effectively to diverse audiences and properly translate security and risk management terminology into business terms, and recommend alternative solutions to these stakeholders.
