We're building the future of commerce—one that is agentic, intelligent, and deeply personalized. As a Director, Business Development, Agentic, you will play a foundational role in scaling the agentic commerce ecosystem at Mastercard, one of the world's most trusted and innovative payments networks. Role
- Support the execution of Mastercard's agentic commerce business development strategy, in close coordination with product, account management, engineering, marketing, and legal
- Identify, evaluate, and drive strategic partnerships across AI platforms, consumer agents, retailers, commerce infrastructure, and developer ecosystems
- Manage partner relationships end-to-end—from initial engagement through deal structuring, co-development, launch, and growth phases
- Be a voice of the partner internally— channeling feedback, use-case insights, and market trends to influence product and platform strategy
- Support development of scalable partnership programs and frameworks that enable rapid expansion across verticals and geographies
- Collaborate across a global, matrixed organization, working with autonomy
All About You
- Experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or platform ecosystem roles

- Proven track record of managing complex partnerships in fast-moving technology environments
- Experience working with or in product-led organizations, with a strong understanding of APIs, developer ecosystems, or platform dynamics
- Entrepreneurial mindset with deep interest in AI agents, evolving commerce models, and customer behavior trends
- Knowledge of the Agentic/LLM-powered ecosystem, including tools, orchestration platforms, and agent frameworks
- A systems thinker who can operate at both strategic and executional levels
- Adept at communicating complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to effectively navigate new and ambiguous environments
- Collaborative team player with a winning mindset
Why Join Us
This is a rare opportunity to shape a generational shift in how commerce works—where agents transact on our behalf, brands become programs, and payments are natively embedded in autonomous flows.
