Title and Summary

Vice President, Market Delivery

Master Card is a global payments and technology company.   • Summary of the role

  • Oversee all Master Card Customer Delivery efforts for the Brazil leading and managing a team for flawless delivery of all critical projects

  • End-to-end delivery responsibility of high impact projects for new business initiatives/products. Ensure business requirements are fulfilled and product readiness is guaranteed. This requires a tight collaboration with different functional entities within Customer Delivery and throughout Master Card.

  • Support and be an intricate part of the building and execution of the Brazil Division strategy by being part of the Management team.

  • Establish, secure and sustain strong relationships with the CIOs/CTOs of key clients and processors within the division.

  • Identify best practices (key deals, product/processing constructs etc.) and share these with the Customer Delivery management team. Learn and adopt similarly from the other division leads.

  • Identify, recommend & implement delivery process improvements, while recognizing global perspectives & procedures. Ensure post implementation reviews are conducted to learn and improve the customer experience. The ultimate goal is to make the Master Card on-boarding easier and customer friendly.

  • Ensure Project & Program Management methodologies/tools are implemented for all critical Delivery projects throughout the region.

  • Grow and contribute to the Brazil Delivery revenue targets (specifically responsible for implementation revenues, academy revenues, project & program management revenues). Identify pro-actively incremental sources of revenue.

  • Act as escalation point for resolution of operational incidents that could generate substantial operational impact for customers. Ensure problems of varying complexity are resolved to the customer's satisfaction and take accountability for the customer's overall delivery satisfaction with Master Card Worldwide.

  • Build, nurture and develop a high performance team.

  • Qualifications and Experience

  • Master degree required or equivalent through work experience with emphasis on business and information technology and/or payment industry experiences.

  • Fluency in English

  • Skills and Competencies

  • Proven executive management credibility. Prior leadership and managerial roles are required.

  • Capable of overseeing the management of multiple critical delivery projects in parallel in a structured and controlled manner.

  • Track record of managing complex programs/projects is required.

  • The individual must possess outstanding interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrable teamwork skills are required.

  • Must be articulate and creative, adept at delivering face-to-face presentations to a senior audience and/or a broader organization.

  • Ability to work effectively and influence others across all spectrum of the customer's organization.

  • Ability to develop outstanding working relationships with country managers of the Western Europe division.

  • Ability to grasp technology issues and translate them into solutions to problems and/or to address business opportunities.

  • Extensive knowledge and demonstrable application of financial industry/banking operations and business practices with a strong focus on payment products (issuing and acquiring). The preferred competence areas are: authorization, clearing, settlement and fraud & risk management tools.

  • Strong analytical/problem solving and planning skills.
