Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.
The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Program Management consultants lead clients through business transformations by implementing strategically important Mastercard assets and services to bring value and drive growth. They serve as the Center of Engagement across all stakeholders within Mastercard and the client’s organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

You will manage a portfolio of technical staffing projects that support implementations, technical strategies, or initiatives with significant impact on the organization. You will manage projects through the technical and resource scoping phase through delivery. Focusing on complexity and inherent risks across a wide range of business areas, where there are strong interdependencies and shared resources, and you will manage activities from their initial identification and definition through to the eventual realization and achievement of measurable improvements.

About the Team:

Mastercard Deploy is Mastercard’s end to end implementation and program management consulting capability that helps clients launch, operate, and scale digital products and platforms by combining technical solutioning, program management, and digital enablement expertise. It delivers full stack execution support including MVP builds, mobile app and platform integrations, governance and stakeholder alignment, on site specialist resources, and enablement across domains such as Open Finance, Digital Banking, Real Time Payments, and Embedded Finance. Across its broader service model, Mastercard Deploy provides holistic implementation, co development, and launch support, integrating Mastercard products, accelerating time to market through proven frameworks, and supplying specialized technical teams to address resource constraints, orchestrate delivery, and ensure high quality digital execution for clients.

• Client Impact

• Lead client engagements and workstreams for large enterprise-level programs across a range of industries, problem statements, and cultures

• Drive the technical scoping and framing of project opportunities against the requirements shared for client projects

• Promote proven, accredited project and change management methodologies and techniques to help clients drive measurable value from initiation to benefit realization

• Mitigate risks, solve issues, and ensure plan remains in line with agreed timescales, budgets, and quality criteria

• Identify new technical support opportunities and communicate with account leads and sales partners to pursue, leading sales calls and client development including proposal contribution

• Own key relationships with mid-level to senior client stakeholders and independently assess client agenda, internal culture, and change readiness

• Team Collaboration & Culture

• Lead team to creative insights and sound business recommendations, and deliver impactful and influential client presentations while growing team members’ roles and skills

• Provide expertise and day-to-day project delivery team leadership, supporting evolution of solutions with innovation and create a collaborative and inclusive environment for all levels

• Manage relationship with internal Mastercard leadership and stakeholders and build the firm's intellectual capital

• Effectively leverage subject matter experts to develop best customized solutions

• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members, including evaluating performance, and providing feedback

Qualifications:

• Basic qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with work experience in project management and change management methodologies and techniques

• 6+ years of Technical Project Management experience

• Exposure to financial institutions, payments, and/or consultancies

• Experience coaching and managing teams across multiple projects and/or engagements with third parties

• Experience managing key client relationships

• Knowledge of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership

• Ability to provide perspective on industry and marketplace

• Logical, structured thinking

• Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local office language (if applicable)

• Eligibility to work in the country where you are applying, as well as apply for travel visas as required by travel needs

• Ability to travel to client sites on a semi-regular basis

• Strong Technical and Delivery Expertise

• Ability to translate product requirements into technical solutions, support full‑stack delivery, and work across distributed engineering squads.

• Experience in managing contingent workforce programs and optimizing partnerships with third party staffing vendors to ensure efficient, compliant, and scalable talent delivery.

• Client‑Facing Consulting and Stakeholder Management Skills

• Acting as a single point of contact for technical issues, vendor coordination, and escalation paths, while maintaining strong communication with internal Mastercard groups.

• Experience Working in Agile, Multi‑Team Environments

• Work effectively within iterative delivery frameworks and collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, and QA counterparts to ensure cohesive delivery.

• Preferred qualifications

• Experience leading development and implementation of technical solutions and measuring impact on clients' business

• Experience as a software developer in the finance or any other well-regulated industry is a plus.

• Have completed or interested in pursuing recognized professional accreditation, such as Project Management Professional (PMP)

• Knowledge of Project Management tools

• Exposure to payments and/or retail banking or merchants

• Experience generating new knowledge or creating innovative solutions for a firm

Base Salary Range: 130,000.00 - 221,000.00 USD Annual

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
