Title and Summary
Director, Account Management
As Director, Account Management, you will be the key relationship lead for both regional and local issuing clients. This is a high-impact role that blends strategic account leadership with hands-on execution. You'll work closely with Mastercard's cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to co-create and implement innovative payment solutions that drive growth, deepen partnerships, and deliver mutual value.
We're looking for a commercially savvy, self-driven leader with deep payments experience and a passion for building strong, trusted relationships. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are excited about shaping the future of payments, this role is for you.
- Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute strategic account plans aligned with Mastercard and client objectives.
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for key issuing clients, ensuring strong engagement and satisfaction.
- Drive Mastercard-branded volume growth and revenue through tailored solutions and strategic initiatives.
- Identify and implement new business opportunities, including product launches, co-branded programs, and digital transformation efforts.
- Manage contractual obligations and long-term partnership commitments.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across product, marketing, operations, and technology teams to deliver client success.
- Support market strategies to increase share, volume, and customer loyalty through research, opportunity assessments, and innovative concepts.
- Build and maintain a strong network of industry relationships to support Mastercard's growth agenda.
- All About You
- Proven track record in strategic account management, business development, or product management-preferably on the issuer side.
- Deep understanding of the retail electronic payments ecosystem from an issuing, acquiring, or network perspective.
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in business, technology, or operations, with a strong grasp of payment technologies.
- Strong commercial acumen and execution focus, with the ability to translate strategy into action.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence across all levels of an organization.
- Familiarity with Mastercard's products, services, and internal processes is a plus.
