Overview:
The Transfer Solutions team was created to establish Mastercard as the frontrunner in the fast-evolving real-time payments space, and to position Master Card to be able to incubate the development of new payment flows.
The team is responsible for designing, building, and operating the technology that powers Mastercard’s next generation payment applications – Domestic, Cross Border and Bill Payments.

Role
-
Responsible for delivering high-quality business and functional requirements (in the form of user stories) to the development teams for the purpose of completing the design, coding, testing, and implementation phases of the project life cycle
-
Works closely with architect guild, analysts, and technical leads from impacted teams to refine requirements for new functionality and enhancements for service platforms.
-
Participates in requirements gathering and review sessions for complex applications including functionality such as encryption and certificate management for Physical Access Systems Software, Servers & Hardware.

Performs analysis of system requirements and works closely with the development teams to ensure proper designs are achieved
-
Provides technical analysis of application software to ensure that business and functional requirements can be met
-
Reviews test cases to ensure accuracy and complete coverage of the story’s acceptance criteria
-
Provides technical support to client applications teams during implementations of new services and provides subject matter expertise for support escalations

Required Qualifications
-
Education: BE/BTech in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
-
Experience: 8+ years in Engineering/IT; 3+ years in enterprise Java development; 3+ years with Splunk/ELK (or similar log analytics); 3+ years with Dynatrace or other APM.

Development & Architecture
-
Java, Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Microservices, RESTful APIs, MVC architecture.
-
Web Angular, React, Javascript, j Query, CSS, HTML ,C, C++, Node.JS, Jenkins, MSSQL, GIT, Unix & Windows
-
Databases: Oracle, SQL (queries & stored procedures).
-
Platform/infra: Java app servers, web servers, Linux/Unix, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis; Cloud Foundry (plus).

Expertise in building Dashboards/Views in Splunk and Dynatrace is a Plus

SDLC & Tooling
-
Proficiency in Software Development Best Practices (TDD/BDD, Unit test, Continuous Delivery, …)
-
CI/CD: Jenkins, Git, Maven; Agile/DevOps practices; experience in SAFe at scale.

Reliability & Performance
-
Production monitoring, observability, RCA, capacity planning (redline/load testing).
-
Performance testing/tuning/analysis; JMeter, Blaze Meter (or equivalent); thread/heap dump analysis.

Oracle Database SQL & configuration Tuning for Performance (indexes, hints, execution plan analysis, SQLT, AWR and similar report analysis)

Hands on in large scale, complex, highly available distributed systems (web, relational & non relational DBs, cache, pub/sub, containers) with resiliency, graceful degradation, DR, and backpressure patterns.

Soft Skills

Clear written/verbal communication; stakeholder engagement across operations, developers, and performance testers.

Analytical/diagnostic strength; ability to work independently, in a matrix/virtual environment, under pressure and tight deadlines.

Proven record of operational process changes and continuous improvement.

Commercial awareness with alignment to business outcomes.

Demonstrated capability to operate effectively within a matrix organization and collaborate with virtual teams.

Proven ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and assume responsibility for various aspects of projects or initiatives.

Skilled in performing under pressure and adept at meeting strict deadlines or adapting to changing expectations and requirements.

Nice to Have
-
Working experience in a security space dealing with Identity management or vulnerability management.

Working experience in a continuous integration development environment, preferably Jenkins.

Good understanding of private or public cloud eco systems.
