Title and Summary
Manager, Product Management
Overview:
- Help drive organizational performance and support our Security Solutions business in achieving the Services and MA organization's business goals
- Work closely with global and regional product teams, supporting them with data, insights and exposure to internal and external audiences for higher effectiveness and awareness of Security Solutions offerings
- Roles in this family oversee evolution of portfolio performance in relation to business priorities and investment areas, propose strategies optimize products and capacity allocation, identify incremental improvements within product’s time to market and engage with leadership to help implement and track initiatives
Responsibilities:
- Take a data-driven approach to efficiency and effectiveness enhancements, identifying opportunity areas and contributing to the productivity, reviewing prioritization of work to deliver against key areas of focus
- Research, track, analyze and communicate wider industry and market trends with relevant teams; engage with internal and external parties to help support the recognition and awareness over Security Solutions offerings and business in the market
- Understand Mastercard’s business model and take key financial or commercial factors into consideration to positively influence revenue delivery and cost efficiency
- Incorporate an understanding of the broader payments ecosystem and security requirements of the payments ecosystem into ongoing product management (e.g. regulatory, legal, technology, competitive, technology environment etc.)
- Conducting portfolio wide growth and efficiency analyses; presenting findings to internal stakeholders with key take aways and proposed strategies
- Track innovative product solutions and product development for security and fraud solutions to address customer needs, market trends, and competitive opportunities and deliver on the yearly revenue budget
- Ability to work cross-functionally, and across borders drawing on a broader team of colleagues to effectively track performance and help drive the security solutions strategy
- Drive institutionalized knowledge through the use of consistent product documentation (e.g., support documents) across the Studio framework
- Lead by example with hands-on approaches to demonstrate business excellence and share best practices
- Demonstrate and drive Mastercard Way behaviours through their behaviour, (e.g. customer and stakeholder interactions)
Experiences and what a candidate must have
- Experience of working in, and understanding of the payment’s ecosystem and security/fraud requirements of the payments ecosystem into ongoing product management
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to analyze and interpret data and findings, develop data-driven ideas and strategies
- Experience working with research and analyst firms is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team player in a highly matrixed environment across functions and regions
- Understands and can explain the business context and the associated success metrics for security / fraud solutions
- Excellent Verbal and written communication
- Excellent strategic thinking and analysis skills and a proven track record thinking outside the box
