Senior Specialist, Product Development, Optimization Solutions

The Digital Transformation team is part of our Core Payments product organization. We are responsible for optimizing e Commerce solutions and for driving transaction authorization improvement for digital transactions globally. We do this by being consumer and merchant centric for our products and services, focusing on excellence in all payment flows.
Role:
We are seeking a driven and innovative professional with mid-level experience and a passion for new product development. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, has a relentless curiosity to learn and discover and demonstrates the drive to help take initiatives from concept to launch. In this role, you will explore emerging technologies, discover pain points, identify value propositions and contribute to the development of new digital solutions to improve authorization performance.
As a Senior Specialist, you will be an integral part of a larger team, responsible for analyzing authorization data and applying strategic insights to identify performance gaps and opportunities. You will also explore how new Mastercard solutions can be leveraged to better serve our customers. An ideal candidate should have strong data analytical expertise, an understanding of the payments landscape, and excellent communication skills to clearly communicate with internal stakeholders and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Takes ownership of assigned tasks in the product development lifecycle, including defining features, benefits, pricing, rules and implementation guidelines.
• Collaborates closely with technology teams to translate product requirements into actionable technical specifications
• Conducts market research to identify trends, competitive products and emerging opportunities that transform product strategies.
• Supports product launches with a hands-on approach to implementation communication and stakeholder alignment.
• Develops and presents reports on project progress, key insights, and next steps to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop quantitative analysis, ad-hoc reports, and models to identify trends and support key business and strategic decisions to protect and drive revenue

All about You:

• Business experience with a proven track record in data analytics, product management, or consulting
• Experience in data analytics, data management, data mining, data reporting, data product development, and quantitative analysis
• Strong analytical skills with a track record of translating data into compelling insights and developing a storyline for internal and external presentations
• Strong knowledge of the payment industry, digital commerce strategies, best practices, and trends related to authorization, authentication, transaction routing, fraud, and chargebacks
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Hadoop, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, and related analytics tools and experience running analysis on large datasets
• Strong communication & presentation skills; can effectively articulate product decisions to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating in a team environment.
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and accuracy
• An entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with a bias for action.
