The Services organization drives Mastercard's growth by providing innovative services to customers. Services focus on customer needs by integrating our data, technology, insights, and expertise and boosts business growth. Representing almost half of Mastercard revenues in some markets, services are crucial to our success
The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Performance Analytics, Strategy & Transformation, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Project Management.
We are looking for passionate and talented professionals, who share our vision for data-driven consulting, to join us and take a leading role in shaping the growth of our team, focusing on Marketing.
Role
As a Principal you will be a trusted client business advisor, and lead client engagements across a range of industries and types of projects. You will lead engagement teams to best in class insights and project deliverables. Leading the work of the project delivery team, you will provide subject matter or industry expertise, be a resource to others to identify creative and efficient solutions and guide the team to business-focused solutions and recommendations that drive client value. Responsibilities within project management will include owning mid- to senior-level client relationships and proactively engaging in the client agenda, internal culture, and relationship risks.
This implies driving the problem solving process, defining a work plan & executing it, managing junior resources and/or third party vendors, managing the day-to-day relationship with clients, and developing & delivering presentation materials.
As a people manager, you will mentor and coach junior teammates outside of direct engagement teams and engender effective contribution to Mastercard’s knowledge management and best practices. At Mastercard, you are expected to not only have a tremendous impact in transforming our clients but also have a leading role in shaping the organization’s future.
In particular, the candidate should be able to:
- Rigorously and logically identify, with senior oversight, the issues impacting the project
- Lead problem solving efforts and structure the project work plan
- Lead and manage the project team
- Oversee the accuracy, quality and timeliness of sophisticated, hypotheses-driven and fact-based analysis to be conducted
- Develop conclusions and recommendations
- Develop compelling presentation materials, following well-structured storylines
- Deliver effective presentations to client executives
- Develop effective working relationships with mid-to-senior level client executives
- Coach and provide feedback to junior resources
Education and Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required
- MBA or relevant post graduate degree required
Experience and skills: - 4-6 years of work experience in a top rated management consulting firm
- Experience marketing
- Payments industry experience desirable
- Ability to work on a team or independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Local language and English proficiency required
