Title and Summary
Director, People Analytics & Metrics
Job Summary:
As the Director, People Analytics & Metrics, you are responsible for the people data self-serve ecosystem. In this high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and business value. You are responsible for the vision, roadmap, and governance of our people data assets, ensuring they are high-quality, ethically managed, and AI-ready. You will succeed through strategic influence, partnering directly with Engineering, Legal, and HR leadership to deliver a world-class self-serve data experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with dashboard product owners and engineering teams to drive adoption by maximizing consumability and user value realization
- Design and execute roadmap reducing common barriers to self-service prioritizing features based on business ROI and technical feasibility
- Lead cross-functional projects to modernize our people data foundations
- Foster our data-driven culture within HR
- Enable the enterprise with robust change management on people data enhancements
- Own the strategy for self-serve people data questions and answers
- Integrated Governance
- Develop and implement a comprehensive system-agnostic governance framework for people data, including policies, procedures, and standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and business units, to define data requirements and ensure consistency across systems
- Define and audit automated row-level and aggregate data security protocols to ensure sensitive employee data is accessible only to authorized users
- Lead people data projects related to regulatory and compliance requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Psychology, Management or a related field.
- Culture & Capability: model The Mastercard Way; help build skills in product thinking, data governance literacy, and outcome based planning across the team.
- Strategic Influencer: You excel in a "matrixed" environment. You can lead teams you don't manage and influence executives you don't report to.
- Product minded operator: adept at shaping problem statements, defining success metrics, managing backlogs, and enabling delivery
- Proven experience in HR, people analytics, data governance or a related role
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent facilitation (workshops, roadmap planning, risk reviews) and concise narrative writing for senior audiences.
