Title and Summary
Manager Software Engineer:
Role:
- Manage a team of software engineers, ensuring delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Drive execution across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, priorities, and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Operations teams to translate business needs into technical deliverables.
- Provide strategic direction for system design, development, and integration using modern Java and Spring technologies.
- Oversee the full software development life cycle, ensuring adherence to Master Card standards, processes, and compliance requirements.
- Promote engineering best practices, including code quality, security, testing, and documentation.
- Manage performance, career growth, and hiring of software engineers, fostering a high-performance and inclusive team culture.
- Coordinate with offshore and distributed teams to ensure effective collaboration and delivery consistency.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies and methodologies that enhance delivery efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure proactive problem management, incident resolution, and continuous improvement in system reliability and performance.

- Demonstrated success in people management, performance development, and leading distributed teams.
- Experience in delivering secure, high-availability solutions in financial services is preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes.
- High-energy, proactive, and results-driven, with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience managing software engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale applications.
- Strong background in Java and Spring Framework, with the ability to provide technical direction when needed.
- Solid understanding of software engineering methodologies, agile practices, and DevOps principles.
