Overview:
The Marketing Technology Solutions team at Mastercard is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on Salesforce development to design, develop, and maintain solutions that support Mastercard's B2B marketing initiatives. This role is key in building the applications, workflows, and integrations that will enable advanced marketing capabilities across multiple channels. As part of a small, collaborative team, you will work on innovative software solutions that directly support the company's global marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with a strong background in Salesforce development, a passion for building scalable solutions, and a commitment to driving business impact through software.
Role
In this position, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce-based solutions to support Mastercard's marketing ecosystem.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, marketing, and analytics, to integrate Salesforce with other systems and tools.
- Develop custom applications, Lightning components, and Apex code to meet business requirements and optimize marketing workflows.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software solutions.
- Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Salesforce applications to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing, ensuring adherence to best practices in software development.
- Contribute to the development of APIs and services to enable seamless integration between Salesforce and other enterprise systems.
All About You:
The ideal candidate for this position should:
- Have significant experience in Salesforce development, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce APIs.
- Be proficient in Salesforce platform features such as Process Builder, Flow, and Apex triggers to develop custom workflows and automations.
- Have a solid understanding of web technologies and modern frameworks (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, RESTful APIs).
- Be skilled in integration patterns, including Salesforce-to-Salesforce, middleware (e.g., Mule Soft), and RESTful API integrations.
- Have experience in designing and building scalable, efficient, and reliable applications in Salesforce to meet the needs of global marketing initiatives.
- Possess a strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
- Be proactive, innovative, and committed to continually improving software development processes.
Desirable Capabilities: - Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other marketing automation tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with agile development practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Git, CI/CD pipelines).
- Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their integration with Salesforce.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of data governance, security best practices, and compliance considerations in Salesforce development.
