In addition to our traditional payments portfolio, Mastercard is aggressively expanding into new payment flows and leveraging the digital and connected world of people and economies to deliver faster, reliable, and more efficient propositions to make payments - send or receive money. The Cross Border program is part of the wider Disbursement & Remittances business that we are looking to expand at a compounded rate of 50% per year for the next 5 years. We are building solutions to enable payments in an any-to-any format - anyone, anywhere can send or receive money using any channel - money exchanges, banks, digital wallets, cards, or fintech apps - providing a seamless and unified experience for both individuals and businesses to move money.

We are looking for passionate, innovative, and experienced engineers with a proven track record in leading the evolution of software products and their implementation in various markets - comfortable both working hands-on as well as guiding and mentoring a team of engineers and critically always challenging the status quo and pushing and driving the technology roadmap to ensure that the solutions leverage technology to the maximum extent.

Role
What's it all about and what do we expect you to do day to day
This role involves working with a team of talented developers to ensure our highly scalable product is developed to the highest possible quality standards. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Driving the overall test strategy for multiple service offerings, adhering to test automation standards of excellence.
• Leading a team of Quality Engineers to provide guidance and direction.
• Help elevate our overall standard of testing by bringing vision and insights to how we test.
• Partner with Product Owners, Technical leads, and other developers to understand features, identify test needs, and ensure that our designs have testability in mind.
• Conduct POCs where required to enable early automation and ensure framework additions are in place.

• Monitoring of unit test coverage and quality gating. Ownership for smoke/integration across all environments and reporting on automation runs.

• Ownership of performance suite, test runs, and analysis of results.

• Research and implement alternative test frameworks, tools, and strategies to meet changing business needs.

• Sharing competence and knowledge across the team.

• Execution of exploratory testing as required.

• About You- Excellent hands-on test automation skills in Java, with experience in unit, functional, and integration testing. Proficiency in Selenium, Karate (mandatory), Core JAVA, XPath, MySQL, and Postman. The candidate must be proficient in using performance testing tools, such as Load Runner, Apache JMeter, and Splunk, as well as in developing a test strategy.

• Expert in full stack software development test approaches & frameworks: TDD/BDD, Unit tests, Cucumber, Selenium, Rest Assured, Karate- In-depth knowledge of test strategies, e.g. Chaos testing, mutation testing.

• Experience working in a cloud environment, e.g. PCF, AWS, Azure.

• Excellent command of CI/CD principles and tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Chef.

• Experience in defining performance tests using JMeter, analyzing performance test runs, identifying performance bottlenecks, and coming up with novel ways to solve them.

• Proven experience in elevating test standards and spearheading quality initiatives.

• Prior experience in leading a small quality team an advantage.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

• Show initiative and demonstrate a willingness to take on challenging opportunities and navigate ambiguity.

• A critical thinker who brings vision and insights to how we test and can influence others.

• Result-oriented individual with Automation experience and Code Quality- Excellent Communicator Corporate Security Responsibility
